YouTube idea: 7 Tips to run a channel in Bhutan.

YouTube Tips

YouTube tips for making a passive income. Here are the 7 effective tips for you all to run a YouTube channel successfully.

For a channel to be eligible for Monetization, it will have to meet the following requirements:

Have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time within the past 12 months.

YouTube Monitization.
YouTube monetization criteria.
  1. First, ask your friends to subscribe to your channel

If we look into our Facebook friend list, maximum people have more than 2k friends. You can ask your Facebook friends to subscribe. Quite easy right? If 1k of your friends are willing to help you in meeting the requirement, boom! You are successful in meeting the first criteria in getting 1k subscriber. And slowly you will also get a huge subscriber like other channels. Be creative and consistent.

  2. Be consistent in creating content based on your niche

If you really want to meet the 4k hours of watch time, you have to be consistent in creating videos based on your niche. If we look into some of the videos on YouTube, they have crossed a million views in a day. That means 4k hours of watch time is getting from just one video. Amazing right?
However, it will be quite challenging for beginners and the new YouTuber. The channel which is not famous is hard to get views and ranked high. But if you have a unique idea to share, then getting ranked at the top and getting a huge viewer is easy. Your videos will be always watched.
Make sure you are consistent in uploading videos. If you can, upload daily, if not weekly. I have seen maximum successful YouTubers upload videos twice a week on their channels.

  3. Your content should serve the viewer’s needs

When we are stuck with the problem, we always look into YouTube and Google for the solution. Even when we are bored, we watch music videos and comedies to save ourselves from boredom and many more. This should be your vision too to run a YouTube channel. If you are making the content with the motives to help people than I guarantee your channel will be seen and subscribed.
The videos should be self-creation otherwise your channel will be banned due to copyright issues.

  4. Promote your channel away from YouTube

What I mean when I say to promote your channel away from YouTube?
Share your videos on social networking such as Facebook, Forums, Instagram, Twitter, etc…. This is the place where most of the people hang in. Therefore, promoting your channel on another platform will greatly help you in getting organic traffic for more views.

  5. Mind your SEO

Properly setting up SEO (search engine optimization) for your YouTube videos is beyond important. Since you took the time to make your videos don’t start slacking now. YouTube is a very sophisticated search engine and people use it a lot to discover new content. This means that, by choosing the right keywords, there will be a high chance that your videos will be found, seen and enjoyed. If there are similar videos to the one you’re looking to create, take a look at the exact words you typed in for the results. Then try a slight variation to see how the results change just so you can see what a word or two of difference can make. Research the keywords you’d like to use, their popularity, and the keywords your competition uses.
Always rank your videos on the top, so that your videos will be watched more. For this, properly setting up your SEO for the videos is very important.

  6. Video dialogue (language) does matter

I am from Bhutan. Our national language is Dzongkha and my mother tongue is Bumthap. For example, if I am making a video tutorial on “how to cook”, speaking either in Dzongkha or Bumthap. How many people will watch my video? There is no way that other countries will watch your video since they don’t understand your dialogue/language. Only a few people from Bhutan who understand Dzongkha may watch my video.
Therefore, your video language matters a lot in getting views. If you’re making a video in your own language than always include a subtitle in English or other widely spoken dialogue/languages. Videos with subtitles are watched more despite them being uploaded in any languages.

  7. Quality of your videos

Focus on creating good quality videos.
We always prefer high-resolution videos to watch with clear audio. So, other people do too. If your video quality is compromised, people may watch at a first glance but not till the end.
I recommend the following software for good video editing:
    Video editing:
    1. Adobe premiere pro
    2. Final cut pro
    3. Flimora
    4. YouTube movie maker
    5. Camtasia and more……
    Audio editing:
    1. Adobe audition
    2. Audacity
Photo editing (Important for designing an effective thumbnail for your video or I can say a display picture for your video). Having catchy thumbnails brings lots of viewers to your video.
    1. Photoshop
    2. Canva (online editor)
